General CommentGuys, the meaning of this song is pretty straightforward. Even the title and ending lyrics "Peace sells, but who's buying?" can be an interpretation of the entire song. PEACE SELLS - Capitalism (Democracy, the USA Government) sells Peace, BUT WHO'S BUYING? - The POOR and middle class are the one's buying what the rich is selling.

Rust in Peace: The Inside Story of the Megadeth Masterpiece (Video Trailer) Alcohol, drugs, sex, money, power, property, prestige RUST IN PEACE is a true story of groundbreaking anti-pop that was moving toward the mainstream, at a time of great cultural change, power, ego, drugs, and other vices that went hand-in-hand with Rock N’ Roll.

Sep 18,  · I know there was also a recent Remaster of this album as well, I thought it was a bit too compressed though, still not as bad as the remix! a lot of people say that the old CD versions of Peace Sells sounds flat with no bass, but i think it sounds pretty darn good considering the low budget the band had worked with on this album.

The line "peace sells!" meaning any country can have peace.. "but who's buying?" meaning no one wants peace, perhaps they just say they do. 2) Another theory is that a government tells it's country they are at peace ["peace sells"], but you can clearly see that they are not, maybe due to a war or threat ["who's buying"].

MEGADETH — Peace Sells But Who's Buying? (review) Album · · Thrash Metal 3 /5 · SilentScream As a huge fan of Thrash Metal, Megadeth strangely never hit the marks I love in this kind of music. To their – mostly Dave’s – credit, the songwriting and solos are great, and the riffs are not far behind. However.

To me "Peace Sells" is one of the three classic Megadeth albums including: "Rust In Peace", and "Countdown". I've always had a fondness for this album but, until recently I never really appreciated "Peace Sells" until I heard this remixed and remastered version. I do own the other two albums remixed and original "Rust In Peace" and "Countdown"/5().
